More about Goa

A tropical paradise

Goa, India’s smallest state and a tropical paradise with miles of palm-fringed sun-soaked beaches, lush paddy fields and rivers with slow-flowing waters is tucked into the south-west coast of the sub-continent. Although small in size, it makes up for its diminutiveness through the diversity of its 1.4 million strong population, wealth of experiences, bright mixtures of the white washed Catholic churches, Hindu temples and the colours and fragrances of the buzzing market streets.

An introduction to India

Goa Holidays are an excellent introduction to the Indian subcontinent. Because of its lovely surroundings, wonderful weather and a welcoming atmosphere – GOA is the place to go for when you think of a holiday.  Being on the western coast of India, Goa's appeal lies mainly in the wealth of its attractive beaches lining the 65-mile shoreline, each with its own charm.

Goa commands not only remarkable landscapes of the surrounding seascape, but also a climate that is consistently, yet not cruelly, warm.‘Relaxed’ and ‘friendly’ are the words most often applied to Goan’s. Foreign practices are more readily accepted in Goa than in the rest of India and the dichotomy of the place is reflected in the dress and conduct of the locals here. But if you delve deeper you will find that all Goans retain their unique culture and age-old traditions.

Goa weather

Monsoon in Goa lasts from June through late September offering the much needed relief from high temperatures & the hottest period of the year which usually is in April and May. Average temperature in Goa throughout the year is at around 30*C, though it is humid and cloudy between April to September; with the rest of the year being pleasantly warm and sunny.

The best time to visit Goa is between November to March, with temperatures averaging between 20-30C, with clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine during the day.
