Kerala Travel Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Cochin
On arrival at Cochin Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to Chittoor Palace.
The Palace is a small ancestral home restored to its original splendor with modern amenities that have been prudently added for additional comfort. The palace accepts only one set of guests at a time. Rooms are stunning with a private living room, large bathroom and a veranda from where you could watch the beautiful sunsets over the water.
Enjoy your meals - Kerala Cuisine which is a definite highpoint, spread over banana leaves with no fewer than ten different dishes all served in a traditional style. Evening, enjoy a classical dance performance ‘Mohiniattam’ in your living room.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Cochin
Cochin: Formation of Cochin happened with the amalgamation of smaller villages across the southwestern coast of Kerala. It has a mix of the Dutch, Portuguese, British and the Jewish influences that make this city unique.
Go on a sightseeing tour of Cochin to explore its rich history and heritage accompanied with a Cochin Tour Guide. Visit the Jewish synagogue at Matanchery and walk through the old Jewish town; take a walking tour of old Fort Kochi and visit the important monuments including Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church (India’s oldest) and Santa Cruz Basilica and explore the streets on foot. Also see the famous Chinese fishing nets in action.
Spend the evening on a harbor cruise.
Day 03: Drive from Cochin to Thekkady (Distance 160kms & 4hrs. journey)
Drive from Cochin to Thekkady, to check-in to your individual cottage at Spice Village Thekkady. Take a tour of the resort that is amidst a tropical forest with plenty of flora & fauna and wild life surrounding it. Indulge in some in-house activities - cooking demonstration, paper making classes or wander through the Periyar Tiger Reserve accompanied by a naturalist.
Day 04: Thekkady Tour and Sightseeing
Go on a nature walk this morning visiting Spice Plantations in Kerala with an opportunity to watch birds, butterflies and other wildlife habitats. This 3hr. interactive trekking program will cover a length of 4-5kms passing through plantations, forests and waterfall.
Evening visit the farmlands of a village on a bullock cart ride behind the mountains of the Periyar Tiger Reserve.
Day 05: Drive to Thekkady to Kumarakom (Distance 130kms & 3hrs. journey)
Drive from Thekkady to this Hotel in Kumarakom - ‘Coconut Lagoon’ that covers a large ground on the edge of a lagoon. All around this property you will see heritage buildings that have been restored and kept far enough to remain private and not feel crowded. Your stay at Coconut Lagoon will give you an authentic experience of Kerala and its backwaters.
Take a short tour of the resort passing through small footbridges over gently flowing canals and overlooking exotic trees, flowers and shrubs.
Day 06: Relax at Kumarakom
Indulge in the surroundings & activities at the resort. Early morning go on a bird watching tour with a naturalist. Afternoon make a visit to a near-by village to get a sneak-peak into the Kerala Village life. Stroll lazily and enjoy fantastic viewssitting on the banks of the vast yet calm Vembanad Lake. Evening take complimentary sun-set cruise through the lake set in light music.
Day 07: Drive from Kumarakom to Marari (Distance 30kms & 45mins. Journey)
After breakfast drive to Marari Beach Resort at Mararikulum; on arrival, check-in to your independent villa at this Kerala Beach Resort. During your stay relax on the sun loungers, hammocks with a view of the cluster palm trees. Get your food served in the garden or by the beach. Take a dip in your private pool and shower in the private outdoor bathroom. For the more adventurous one’s, take the bike (from resort) and make a visit to the nearby temples & churches in Alleppey district.
Day 08: Relax during the day
Join for Yoga session followed by the breakfast. During the day explore the fishing villages nearby; enjoy a dip into the sea and take a walk to the organic farm managed by the resort from where you are served the fresh vegetables and fruits. Evening savor your buffet meal accompanied by classical music played life.
Day 09: Drive from Marari to Cochin (Distance 90kms. & 2hrs.journey)
