North India Travel Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Delhi
On arrival at New Delhi Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Delhi for check-in.
DELHI: The capital city of India, and said to be one of the oldest existing cities in the world consists of two parts - NEW DELHI, the city created in 1911 as the imperial capital of India by the British and the OLD DELHI, the Muslim capital of India between the 17th and 19th centuries.

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
Your travel to North India begins with a full day tour in Delhi accompanied with a local tour guide. Start by visiting the Jama Masjid; enjoy a ride of cycle rickshaw in Delhi through the crowded bazaar and shopping streets of Chandni Chowk; Visit Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Explore New Delhi, India Gate & Rajpath; Rashtrapati Bhawan - the President's House; National Museum; Humayun’s Tomb; Qutab Minar and the Bahai Temple.

Day 03: City Walk in Delhi
This morning take a city walk tour in Old Delhi which will be educational & inspiring. Walk through the little streets in Delhi which you wouldn’t be able to find unless you are accompanied by someone who knows them well. Take this tour along with the Salaam Balaak Trust (SBT) City guide (a child who has been fully trained as local guide).
At the end of this tour, you get to spend some time with the children at one of SBT’s shelter home.
Note: This is a tour meant to give you insights into the lives of street children in Delhi told by a child who once grew in this street. You particularly would not expect to see interesting tourist spots on this tour.

Day 04: Drive Delhi to Agra (220kms & 4hrs journey).
Distance between Delhi to Agra (220kms /4hrs). On arrival check-in to your hotel in Agra
AGRA: The former capital of ‘Hindustan’ was transformed from a village to a city befitting the glory of mighty Mughals by two great emperors: AKBAR & SHAH JAHAN. Places to visit in Agra are the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri (all of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites)
After lunch, visit the Agra Fort and late evening visit Mehtab Bagh get a view of Taj Mahal at sunset.

Day 05: Sightseeing in Agra & Drive Agra to Ranthambore (250kms & 5hrs journey)
Start with a sunrise Taj Mahal visit along an expert Indian tour guide. The monument, one of the Seven Wonders of the World was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his love.
Afternoon, drive from Agra to Ranthambore (distance is 250kms & 5hrs journey by road). En-route visit, Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital of Emperor Akbar; the city was abandoned as the capital in 16th century due to scarcity of water. On arrival, check-in to your resort.

Day 06 & 07: Tiger Safari at Ranthambore Park
Enjoy the morning and afternoon shared jeep safari tour.
The tiger reserve is beautiful and is home to many other animals like Deer (Sambhar, Chital &Nilgai), Languor, Elephants, Crocs and the black Sloth Bear - another elusive creature. There are also a variety of trees, plants, birds and reptiles in the Ranthambhore National Park.
Activities planned:
Enjoy an early morning excursion to the Soorwal Dam for Bird Watching.
Visit the Dastkar Craft Centre, an organization that empowers the lower caste women in villages by providing employment to them. The attractive handicrafts, saris, scarves, bags and bedspreads are up on sale at their workshop.

Day 08: Drive from Ranthambore to Jaipur (200kms & 4 hrs. journey)
Early morning departure from Ranthambhore to Jaipur on-road; on arrival check-in to your hotel
THE PINK CITY: There are three parts to Jaipur; Amer (the old city which was the previous capital of the Kachwahas, clans of Rajputs). Jaipur (the walled city built in the 18th century) and the new city (which has grown outside the walled city).
Day at leisure to explore markets or watch a Bollywood movie at Raj Cinema Theatre

Day 09: Sightseeing in Jaipur

THE PINK CITY: There are three parts to Jaipur; Amer (the old city which was the previous capital of the Kachwahas, clans of Rajputs). Jaipur (the walled city built in the 18th century) and the new city (which has grown outside the walled city).
Places to visit in Jaipur: Start by visiting Amber/Amer Fort; take a ride to its lofty heights on a jeep or a decked up elephant. Later visit the City Palace Jaipur, Palace of Winds (or Hawa Mahal), Jantar Mantar (Maharaja Jai Singh’s astronomy park).

Day 10: Flight from Jaipur to Udaipur
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Udaipur. On arrival, check-in to your hotel in Udaipur.
Udaipur: Most Romantic City of India, City of Lakes, and Venice of the East are some of the synonyms used to describe ‘Udaipur’. Situated in the hilly range of Aravallis, it is in complete contrast to its counterparts of Marwar, in the north-west.
Late afternoon, enjoy a nice tranquil sunset boat-cruise on the beautiful lake placid - Lake Pichola

Day 11 & 12: City Tour of Udaipur & Excursion to Ranakpur
Places to visit in Udaipur: Udaipur City Palace, an architectural marvel that towers over Lake Pichola and the 350 year old Jagdish Temple. Enjoy a day’s excursion to Ranakpur’s Jain Temples and the impressive Kumbhalgarh Fort

Day 13: Flight Udaipur to Delhi
Morning transfer to the airport to board your flight to Delhi; Overnight stay in Delhi

Day 14: Departure Delhi International Airport
Your North India Tourism package concludes with a drop to the Delhi International airport for your flight home or to another destination in India.
