Kerala Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Cochin
On arrival at Cochin Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Cochin for check-in.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Cochin
Cochin: Formation of Cochin happened with the amalgamation of smaller villages across the southwestern coast of Kerala. It has a mix of the Dutch, Portuguese, British and the Jewish influences that make this city unique.
Tourist Places in Cochin: Go on a sightseeing tourof Cochin to explore its rich history and heritage accompanied with a Cochin Tour Guide. Visit the Jewish synagogue at Matanchery and walk through the old Jewish town; take a walking tour of old Fort Kochi and visit the important monuments including Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church (India’s oldest) and Santa Cruz Basilica and explore the streets on foot. Also see the famous Chinese fishing nets in action.

Day 03: Drive from Cochin to Munnar (Distance 150kms & 4hrs. journey)
Drive Kochi to Munnar this morning. On arrival check-in to your Resort in Munnar; Munnar is Kerala’s premier hill station surrounded by lush tea plantations and valleys, you would also find cardamom and coffee plantations around. At an altitude of 1600m, the climate is pleasing throughout the year.

Day 04: Explore Munnar
Enjoy the nature walks through the tea, coffee and cardamom estates and make a visit to a tea factory & museum where you get to see how tea is processed; Visit the Eravikulam National Park, and you may have possible sightings of elephants, the endangered Nilgiri Tahrs, Indian Bison and the Malabar Giant Squirrels.

Day 05: Drive from Munnar to Thekkady (Distance 110kms & 3hrs journey)
Drive from Munnar to Thekkady by road, the delightful land of spices and wildlife. Check-in to your Resort at Thekkady on arrival

Day 06: Thekkady Tour and Sightseeing
Go on a nature walk this morning visiting Spice Plantations in Kerala with an opportunity to watch birds, butterflies and other wildlife habitats. This 3hr. interactive trekking program will cover a length of 4-5kms passing through plantations, forests and waterfall.
Evening visit the farmlands of a village on a bullock cart ride behind the mountains of the Periyar Tiger Reserve.

Day 07: Drive Thekkady to Alleppey/Alappuzha (Distance 150kms & 4hrs. journey)
Morning drive from Thekkady to the Backwaters in Alleppey. On arrival check-in to your Resort in Alleppey. Enjoy the day relaxing walking in the countryside observing village life from close quarters

Day 08: Relax during the day

Day 09: Kerala Houseboat Cruise
This morning step into your Kerala House boat for a leisurely trip through the backwaters of Alleppey. The backwaters are a beautiful experience taking you through lagoons, rivers and lakes of Central Kerala. See how people live & work along the shores as you enjoy your meals served on-board. Overnight stay in houseboat

Day 10: Drive Alleppey to Cochin Airport (Distance 70kms & 2hrs. journey)
After check-out from Houseboat, drive from Alleppey to Cochin. Your Kerela Trip concludes with a drop to the Cochin International airport for your flight home or to another destination in India.
