Itinerary for South India trip
Day 01: Arrive in Bangalore
On arrival at Bengaluru Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Bangalore for check-in.
Bangalore now officially called ‘Bengaluru’ is also known as the “Garden City” for its greenery and the parks it boasts. The city has also seen an abundant growth in the number of malls, pubs, multiplex, café’s, museums and palaces.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Bangalore and drive Bangalore to Mysore (Distance 150kms & 3hrs journey)
Bangalore Sightseeing Places: Start with an early morning Visit Tipu Sultan’s Palace - an old and preserved monument with some beautiful gardens. Also visit some temples that reflect the spiritual culture of South India
Afternoon travel from Bangalore to Mysore by road; on arrival, check-in to your hotel in Mysore. Make an optional visit to Brindavan Gardens, a short drive out of the city.

Day 03: Mysore Site seeing
Your Mysore trip from Bangalore starts with a visit to the Mysore Palace. Other places to visit in Mysore are: Chamundi Temple perched on the top of a hill with great views of the city; Halebidu Temple, an 11 century structure that marvels you with its ornate temples and the Hoysala architecture. Wind up your day with a drive out of the city to Somanathpur Temples; the marvelous stone carvings and the rich history of this place makes it a must visit sight. Take a walk around the local village to see the roof-tiled houses that are almost 200 years old. Overnight stay at Mysore
Day 04: Drive from Mysore to Wayanad (Distance 120kms. & 3hrs. journey)
Early morning drive from Mysore to Wayanad, a quaint hill-station in north western Kerala with immense beauty and variety of wildlife & fauna. Drive to a wonderful retreat on a coffee and caoutchouc plantation - your resort in Wayanad.

Day 05: Tour of Wayanad
Enjoy the day exploring Waynad passing through the famous spice town. Start with an early morning visit to the Muthanga Wild life sanctuary followed by a visit to Edakkal Caves, which has some ancient carvings on it. Afternoon visit the Soochipara waterfalls before finally reaching the famed Kabini River crossing it over on bamboo boats to get to Kuruva Islands. Spend time exploring the islands and dive into the river for a swim. Evening drive back to your resort in Wayanad
Day 06: Drive from Waynad to Kannur (Distance 120kms. & 3hrs. Journey)
Drive from Wayanad to a small fishing village by the beach in Kannur. On arrival check-in to your homestay in Kannur, the location is calm and beautiful with miles of plam fringed beaches - that has no traffic or tourists but only local fishermen and children playing by the Arabian Sea. Afternoon relax by the beach, take a swim or walk around this place.
Day 07: Relax at the house by Kannur beach
During the day you could make a visit to the St Angelo's Fort and the Muzhappilangad drive-in beach. You might be lucky to watch ‘Theyyam’ - a traditional dance of Kerala going on at a local temple or watch a performance of the ancient martial art - ‘Kalari’.

Day 08: Drive from Kannur to Cochin (Distance 275kms. & 6hrs. Journey)
You have an option to drive from Kannur to Cochin or board a train to Cochin (06hrs). On arrival check-in to your hotel in Cochin
Cochin: Formation of Cochin happened with the amalgamation of smaller villages across the southwestern coast of Kerala. It has a mix of the Dutch, Portuguese, British and the Jewish influences that make this city unique.

Day 09: Sightseeing in Cochin
Places to visit in Cochin: Go on a sightseeing tour of Cochin to explore its rich history and heritage accompanied with a Cochin Tour Guide. Visit the Jewish synagogue at Matanchery and walk through the old Jewish town; take a walking tour of old Fort Kochi and visit the important monuments including Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church (India’s oldest) and Santa Cruz Basilica and explore the streets on foot. Also see the famous Chinese fishing nets in action.
Evening visit the Kerala Kathakali Centre to watch a Kathakali dance performance - a classic dance drama where you’ll see how a story unfolds by dance, music, song and strangest of all, facial movements that convey the emotions and dialogue. It is a mixture of calm and rhythmic movements; frenetic drumming that leads to a dramatic climax but throughout colorful and elaborate.
Day 10: Drive from Cochin to Alleppey (Distance 75kms & 2hrs. journey)
After check-out, drive from Cochin to a small country-side town - Kuttanad in Alleppey to an old palatial house that has the old world charms of a Kerala home. Relax during the day and enjoy this experience which is different from city life.
Day 11: Experience the authentic village life in Kerala
Early morning go on a cycling tour of Champakulam village by the riverside and the nearby backwater villages. Enjoy the perfect views of a village life in Kerala which has an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility all around. Evening enjoy a sunset boat cruise followed by a candle-lit dinner on the lawns of the heritage house by the side of Pampa river.
Optionally you can experience a Kerala houseboat tour for a leisurely trip through the backwaters of Alleppey and stay overnight at the houseboat.
Day 12: Drive from Alleppey to Erattupetta (Distance 85kms & 2.5hrs. journey)
After breakfast, commence a 3hrs. drive up the hills of Western Ghats where you can experience farm life and splendid mountain views. Your accommodation here is at a spacious bungalow and homestead built on a hillside that has dense green views of coffee and cardamom plantations.
Evening take a walk with your friendly hosts to learn more about spice and rubber plantations and experience the cherished local life here, also enjoy the impressive sun-set views from top of a hill.
Day 13: Local sightseeing & relaxation
Go on a 2 hour trek walking through the forests to a waterfall. Swim in the natural pool. Go on a visit to a cow farm. Indulge yourself in other in-house activities at this Kerala homestay or relax reading at the fascinating library that has collections of Kerala history, culture, flora and fauna.
Day 14: Drive from Erattupetta to Madurai (Distance 210kms & 6hrs journey)
After this relaxing stay, drive from Erattupetta to Madurai. En-route stop for lunch at Idukki. On arrival, check-in to your hotel at Madurai. Afternoon stroll through this small temple town at leisure

Day 15: Madurai Sightseeing & tour
